The long hair. The beard. All that’s really missing is some eyeshadow, a goofy hat, the Black Pearl, and an Elizabeth Swann by his side. Furthermore, this employee of the Halve Maen in the Efteling seems to have walked straight from the set of Pirates of the Caribbean. With his great acting performances, he not only makes pure advertising for the amusement park (and the chance of an Oscar): the visitors are full of praise.
“There we go! Good luck everyone!”, he shouts to the ‘crew’ of the Halve Maen. It was, not for the first time, filmed and widely shared on social media.

“I’d like to see more of these kind of employees,” tweets Arendo Geense. With a heart to it. In the comments it rained even more compliments. “This gentleman has been working there for many years! Nice to see that he still entertains people so well ” responds Lisette. “He is always so cheerful. The employee of the month”, reports Melissa Arets. We also read ‘Give that man a raise’, ‘Genius!’ and ‘This guy really turns a day out into a day out’.
Efteling itself is also happy with their employee. “We are delighted to see that he is so enthusiastic about his work and that many guests appreciate it,” the amusement park said in a response to Jack Sparrow from Kaatsheuvel. “Each employee enchants in his or her own way. the video is known for this kind of mesmerizing action.”
