On Friday evening, a glimpse of the past was seen at the Nordenskiöldinkatu ice rink, when Eetu Selänne hit the Jokers.
In the middle of the first period, Kajaani Hoki’s forward ran through and tricked the puck past the Jokers’ goal guard Ville Kolppanen.
Selänne fanned the hit in a typical manner of his father Teemu by going down to a kneeling position.
– From there comes a proper archer’s attitude, which Faijak has sometimes cultivated, MTV’s puck commentator Teppo Laaksonen got excited.
For Selänte, 26, the goal was the sixth of the Mestis season.
The match between the Jokers and Hoki was tied at 1-1 after two sets.
