A 19-year-old man from Eelde was hit by a car in the water last night. That happened on the Oosterhavenkade in Winschoten.
According to police, the man was able to get out of the car himself. He was then taken to hospital for a check-up.
Another passenger, an 18-year-old man from Groningen, was removed from the car by divers. He was seriously injured in the accident.
