Edwin Evers returns after years of absence back on the radio, it was announced yesterday. He will make a show once a week on Radio 538, namely on Friday afternoon. The first episode of Evers & Co is on February 2. “I’m going to start the weekend and I’m really looking forward to it,” says the presenter in the press release.

What does he earn?

When hearing such news, Miljuschka Witzenhausen immediately wonders what such a man will earn for making radio for a few hours one day a week. “Can I ask the question that no one actually wants to ask, but wants to know? What do you think he will earn for this one day a week?” she says RTL Boulevard.

Media expert Rob Goossens notes that Edwin was the highest-earning radio DJ ever. “Oh, that’s a very good question. In his heyday he earned 4.5 million. Yes, serious. Because the morning show is so important for a radio station. If people are inside, they hang around for the rest of the day.”

4.5 million

Miljuschka really loses out on that amount. “4.5 million?”

According to Rob, what he will earn now is a lot less. “I think he can now easily grab at least 5 tons for one day a week.”

That is twice the salary ceiling at the NPO. For which someone like Ruud de Wild makes radio all week, say. There must be a difference…
