Edward Norton has publicly paid tribute to Meat Loaf. Both stood together in front of the camera for the 1999 cult film “Fight Club”. The day after Meat Loaf’s death, Norton took to Twitter to recall filming with the acting singer, who played a former bodybuilder with testicular cancer on Fight Club.
He has no photos of films and filming at home, Norton said. But there is a framed one in his office that makes him laugh every time, he wrote – and posted that photo. “Love and Hugs, Meat” is engraved on the frame, “and that pretty much sums it up,” Norton says. “He was so funny. And friendly. And warm. A lovely soul. RIP Meat Loaf.”
I don’t keep pictures from films around home. But I have this one in my office in a frame bc it makes me smile every time. It’s engraved ‘Love and Hugs, Meat’ it sums him up well. Hey what so funny. And gentle. And warm to everyone. A sweet soul. RIP Meat Loaf pic.twitter.com/aMrIgXByEc

In another tweet, Norton said, “To us he will always be ‘Bob.’ We had a wonderful couple of months filled with laughter and disrespect. The hardest part about working with Meat was getting through all those silly moments without bursting out laughing.” Norton illustrated one of those moments:
To us he will always be ‘Bob’. Those were some wonderful months of laughter & irreverence. The hardest thing about working w/ Meat was getting through any of these ridiculous moments without cracking up. Him lying on the table playing dead then belting out Zeppelin.
