Edmonton Oilers trade Jesse Puljujärvi

NHL insider Kevin Weekes reports on Twitterthat the Edmonton Oilers would have actively traded Jesse Puljujärvi.

According to the reporter, the 24-year-old Finn has aroused interest in the market.

Puljujärvi’s trade may take place in the next few weeks, as the NHL booking ceremony will be held this coming weekend. The following week, the free agent market opens on July 13th.

Puljujärvi’s contract with the Oilers ended last season. His player rights still remain in Edmonton, but the Finn would need a salary increase.

In addition, the new head coach by Jay Woodcroft under Puljujärvi’s shares have fallen as an attacker in the lower fields.
