Things are not going well at Borussia Dortmund. Now coach Edin Terzić obviously has to worry about his job.
Edin Terzić said he was frustrated after his team’s defeat against Hoffenheim on Sunday (2-3). Dortmund are lagging behind their own expectations. BVB is still in fourth place in the Bundesliga table. But RB Leipzig is right behind with one point less. This obviously also makes the bosses at Borussia Dortmund think.
According to a report from Sky, coach Terzić is shaky and is under close observation. The goal is the Champions League. However, the plan will only work if Dortmund consolidate fourth place in the table.
Fans whistled at the team
Marcel Reif already told the “Bild” newspaper: “Fourth place in Dortmund is non-negotiable.” In the event that things don’t work out with the premier class, the expert doesn’t rule out a separation from Terzić: “If that happens and it threatens to happen dramatically and sustainably, then I can very well imagine it.” (You can read more about Reif’s statements here.)
The reaction of the fans in the stadium on Sunday also showed that the mood at BVB was tense. The otherwise very loyal supporters reacted to the defeat against Hoffenheim with whistles.
Terzić still doesn’t want to let himself get down. He said on Sunday evening after the game: “We know that it was an important matchday. But we also know that there are eleven more matchdays waiting for us.” The next game is on Saturday at Union Berlin (from 3:30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker). Then Dortmund needs a win to ease the situation.
