Madrid (AP) – The Belgian national soccer player Eden Hazard will miss Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League against defending champions Chelsea.
The 31-year-old will undergo surgery to remove a metal plate on his right shin in the coming days, the Spanish La Liga leaders have announced. Real Madrid will play in the premier class quarter-final first leg on April 6 at Hazard’s former club Chelsea, from whom he moved to Spain in 2019 for an estimated €100m.
