Eddie Vedder helped out The Who with an acoustic performance of their ’70s hit “The Seeker” at a concert benefiting a private cancer charity in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Under normal circumstances, however, the piece did not succeed. And that was thanks to The Who singer Roger Daltrey, who explained before the first notes that this time he couldn’t scream as loudly as is usual with the song. He just doesn’t have the strength for that right now.

The singer left that to the naturally incited audience and, together with Vedder, hit some of the rather difficult notes.

All proceeds from the concert will benefit Teen Cancer America. this is the US agency of Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend’s charity. The two members of The Who are also currently auctioning off a signed guitar to raise further funds for Teen Cancer America. The auction runs until December 6th.

At the legendary band’s Wembley concert in London in 2019, the Pearl Jam frontman sang “The Punk And The Godfather” with them. “The Seeker” is considered one of The Who’s greatest hits. It was released as a single in 1970 before being included on the singles compilation Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy a year later.
