Former F1 team manager Eddie Jordan describes Michael Schumacher “being present, but not yet”.
74-year-old Jordan gave his own view on the state of health of the seven-time world champion For the OLBG betting company in the interview he gave.
Jordan says that he watched closely last season Mick Schumacher life at the formula depot. The son of the F1 legend’s two-season career as an F1 driver came to an end at the end of last year, at least for the time being.
Jordan says that he was moved to watch how Mick Schumacher spoke about his father when his own career was in a headwind.
– It is not easy when you know that your own father is not part of the family. He is present and yet not, Jordan describes.
Jordan’s exit should not be taken as any official truth. Jordan is not among the few who have received permission from Schumacher’s family to visit the seriously injured Michael.
One who makes visits at regular intervals is Jean Todt, team manager during Schumacher’s Ferrari days. The Frenchman has also kept his mouth shut when asked about his friend’s health.
The working relationship between Eddie Jordan and Michael Schumacher was considerably shorter than the union between Schum and Todt. The German debuted in the F1 series with the Jordan team in 1991 in Belgium. Schum’s talent was immediately clear to everyone. Benetton took the German into their ranks for the very next race, and the rest is history.
