Ed Sheeran sings “Shape of You” for Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid

On the anniversary of Cox and McDaid, Ed Sheeran quickly rewritten the lyrics to “Shape of You”.

Ed Sheeran sang a very special serenade to his friends Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid on the tenth anniversary of their relationship. He sang a special version of “Shape of You” for the actress and the Snow Patrol singer, which visibly touched both of them.

Sheeran and Cox have been good friends for many years and McDaid and Sheeran have also known each other for a long time. In fact, Ed Sheeran even introduced Cox to her now partner in 2013.

To mark the tenth anniversary of the partnership, Courteney Cox shared a clip on her Instagram account with several photos of Johnny McDaid and herself as well as a small video serenade from Sheeran. He lets himself be carried away by “Shape of You” with new lyrics. So instead of “I’m in love with your body” this time he prefers to sing “Johnny’s in love with your body”.

Fun Fact: McDaid wrote this song in 2017 with Sheeran and music producer Steve Mac.
