Real estate agent Alex van Keulen has the long-cherished dream of living Buy without lookingparticipants Sicco and Tessa come true. In the Frisian Opeinde he found a detached house for their family, as shown in the program on Monday evening.
Sicco and Tessa, living in Friesland, form a composite family with their four children. They commute back and forth between their two current homes, but have long had the dream of living together as a family in one house. The two absolutely do not want a ‘standard terraced house’ and attach great value to the space and tranquility of the Frisian landscape.
Broker Alex is put to work with a budget of 425,000 euros. He has to look for a detached house with five bedrooms, a garden and a creative space in Drachten or Opeinde. There are houses, but time after time they do not meet the wishes of Sicco and Tessa. When Alex comes across a detached house in Opeinde, he realizes that he has to strike very quickly; there are more hijackers on the coast. He manages to buy the abode, but keeps it to himself for a while.
On the day that the concession clock still has over an hour on the counter, Alex pays a visit to the couple. They initially think they have to compromise because Alex starts the conversation very seriously, but then Martijn Krabbé suddenly appears in the doorway. “Alex, what the hell are you doing here? Have you seen the clock?” It turns out to be a preconceived plan of the two men, because Alex has good news: “At the last minute guys, it’s all madness: we just bought you a fantastic house.”
Dream come true
When Tessa and Sicco are then sent out to view potential homes, panic sets in for a moment. They are horrified at many homes and absolutely do not see themselves living there. But at the house that Alex bought them, the atmosphere changes and their eyes spontaneously start to twinkle. “This is it, isn’t it? I would love this”, Tessa beams. Sicco also sees himself living there completely. “This is just home, isn’t it?”
Of course, the lovebirds fervently hope that Alex has managed to get hold of the detached house in Opeinde, but is that really the case? When presenter Martijn Krabbé orders them to take off their blindfolds on the day of the viewing, they cannot believe their eyes. A firm hug follows, after which Sicco runs towards the house and starts hugging his new palace. ,,Oh my gosh you guysserious? I can’t believe it”, he exclaims.
Although the house is still being taken care of by Bob, Sicco and Tessa are already very pleased with the house. In fact, they see themselves living there completely and do not mind having to do odd jobs themselves. “It’s beyond fantastic. It’s even more fun than I thought. It just feels good, it’s great”, Tessa responds enthusiastically.
Doing it yourself is not necessary. Bob has 58,000 euros left over to renovate and decides to create an extra bathroom. He is also realizing a fifth bedroom, the family is getting a brand new kitchen and the other rooms have also been refurbished. The choices that Bob and stylist Roos have made turn out to be a bull’s eye on the big day. Tessa and Sicco are delighted with their new home. “This is just fantastic. Our dream comes true.”
