Ebba Andersson earned more than any other Swedish skier last year. The woman’s company made a profit of 2.4 million kroner. The amount is approximately 200,000 euros.
The company’s equity grew to almost six million kroner, or 500,000 euros.
– It was a good year for Ebba Andersson AB, the skier admits For Expressen.
The company’s result has improved year by year at the same pace as Andersson’s success.
– It is nice. It gives me the conditions to continue this.
However, the 26-year-old skiing star reminds us that he doesn’t really ski for money.
– If I had ended up in sports because of the money, I probably wouldn’t have chosen cross-country skiing as my sport. I would have been really stupid to have done that because there are quite a few different sports where at the top level Tiena makes significantly more.
Andersson plans to use his money to buy a house together with his spouse Gustaf Berglund. The date is still open, but the ownership share will be 50/50.
– There must be equality!
There will be no value competitions in cross-country skiing next season, but there are still plenty of goals.
– I want to win the Tour de Ski more than anything else.
Andersson has been once second and once third in the race.
– But it is a challenge. Just getting to the finish line is tough. I haven’t always succeeded in that either.
