The American e-commerce giant Ebay has concluded an agreement to take over ties.

TISE is the most popular Norwegian online marketplace for second-hand fashion and furnishings with its headquarters in Oslo. The mobile-first application has over 2.5 million registered users: inside in the Scandinavian countries, more than a million in Norway. The company’s total value is estimated at around $ 130 million (110.1 million euros).

The takeover is particularly interesting for the American giants. The reason for this is the social functions of tise that enable access to the youngest consumers: inside on the market. Users can go to TISE: Interior, among other things, sellers: Like and comment on the inside and advertisements. These elements offer eBay additional tools to create more commitment with the users: to create inside. So Ebay hopes to strengthen its C2C offer at the gen z and the millennials.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The effects for the TISE platform and its users: on the inside are not yet known.

The Scandinavian resale market is heavily on the move. In March 2025, the Finnish start-up Bohht took over the second-hand fashion platform ZADAA. A few months later, in July, Bohht continued to expand through the takeover of Netflea. This platform no longer exists today. In June, H&M Ventures increased its participation in the second-hand fashion platform Sellpy. The company has been investing in the platform since 2015. In 2021, the fashion giant already owned 70 percent of the company.
