Ebay has appointed Vidmay Naini as General Manager for Global Emerging Markets.
In this position, Naini will be responsible for the Southeast Asia, India, Eastern Europe, Israel, Middle East, Africa and Latin America markets, Ebay announced on Tuesday. Ebay sees “high potential” for e-commerce export growth in these markets.
“I am very pleased to take on this global role. Expanding our operations in these regions gives us the opportunity to realize eBay’s mission of empowering people and creating economic opportunity for all at scale,” said Naini. “The digital economy is growing exponentially in these markets, with small and medium-sized businesses driving the growth. Global e-commerce platforms like Ebay can revolutionize export opportunities and expand the reach of these businesses.”
Naini was previously responsible for business in Southeast Asia and India. In total, he has been active in the US marketplace for 18 years and is now playing a key role in transforming the India business.
