Salmon pie
Base:
2 dl oatmeal
1 dl wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
100 g of margarine or butter
3/4 dl milk
Filling:
200 g grated cheese
2 onions
2 cloves of garlic
3 eggs
2 dl milk
1 dl creme fraichea
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
about 300 g of sliced smoked salmon
1. Mix the dough ingredients together until the dough is greasy soft. Press the dough into the pie pan (diameter 27 cm) and just over the edges.
2. Spread the cheese on top of the pie base.
3. Chop the onion, squeeze the garlic with a garlic press and mix the onions together. Add the onions on top of the cheese.
4. Measure eggs, milk, creme fraiche, salt, pepper and herbs into a bowl and mix until smooth. Pour half of the mixture into the pan over the onions.
5. Place the salmon slices in the pan. Pour the rest of the egg mixture into the top.
6. Bake in the oven at 220 degrees for about 40 minutes.
