The band name was a violation of their trademark, explained the “EasyGroup”.
Unfortunately, things aren’t going that easy for the British band easy life at the moment. The indie pop band has to change their name after being sued by EasyGroup. The parent company of the airline “easyJet” cited an infringement of its trademark as the reason for the lawsuit.
Since a court case would mean considerable costs for easy life, the British decided to give up their name. The band announced this in an Instagram post, among other things, and wrote: “Unfortunately, we have realized that there are no good options available to us in the situation we find ourselves in. We have no power to fight it.”
Statement from the band on Instagram
