Blueberry pie is certainly one of the easiest blueberry pastries.

– But the ease is confusing, states the food journalist Mari Moilanen Something tasty in his blog.

According to Moilanen, blueberry pie tastes exactly the same as blueberry pie.

– Usually, I always bake a blueberry pie with bun dough first. Then I make the shortbread and next in line is the blueberry pie. I cook most of the time because of its ease, says Moilanen.

The combination of blueberry, vanilla and oats mixes wonderfully in the baking. In addition, dark sugars give it a caramel taste.

– Absolutely tongue-in-cheek.

Blueberry pie, i.e. blueberry goodness

(for 4 people)

about a liter of blueberries

3/4 dl cane sugar or Indian sugar

1 teaspoon of real vanilla powder

1 tablespoon of potato flour

Dough:

4 dl of oatmeal

1 1/2 dl liquid vegetable fat or melted butter

1 dl cane sugar (or 1/2 dl cane sugar and 1/2 dl Indian sugar)

1 teaspoon cardamom

a pinch of salt

1. Spread the blueberries on the bottom of the baking dish (diameter of a round dish approx. 20 cm or a small square dish 20 x 20). Mix in the sugar, vanilla and potato flour.

2. Mix the fat, sugar and a pinch of salt into the oatmeal. Season with cardamom.

3. Bake in a 200-degree oven for 25–30 minutes. Serve warm with custard or ice cream.
