Easter finally feels like spring: ‘Nice weather to go out’

Spring is finally here this Easter weekend. Paaspop starts Friday with a changeable day, but after that we get a lot of sunshine. “Saturday and Sunday it will be dry. There is little wind and in a sheltered spot in the sun you can even go for short sleeves,” says Alfred Snoek of Weerplaza.

Good Friday it is still cloudy. With 11 degrees and the occasional drop of rain, it certainly doesn’t feel like spring. “But the temperature keeps rising a little the following days,” says Snoek.

Saturday and Sunday it will be 13 to 15 degrees. It won’t be as sunny as earlier this week, but the sun will regularly come out from behind the clouds. “It stays dry those days and there is little wind. All the ingredients to get out and about.”

“After two hours in the sun you can be quite red.”

According to the weatherman, it can feel really hot in a sheltered spot in the sun. The sun power is 3 to 4 on those days. That is not extremely high, but do apply sunscreen. “We are still used to little UV radiation, so after two hours in the sun you can be quite red,” says Snoek.

Easter Monday will be the warmest Easter day with 16 degrees. Pike still holds a blow to the arm. “Monday is still a bit uncertain. From Tuesday we will have changeable weather and maybe Easter Monday will also end a bit worse.”
