The quake measured 1.2 on the Richter scale. It was, as usual for the province of Groningen, an induced earthquake. This means that it had no natural cause, but was created at a depth of 3 kilometers by gas extraction.
On Tuesday evening it was also restless in the Groningen soil. Then there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 1.4 in Uithuizen.
