It was a report of which no one was awake. On March 2 of this year, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched a major study into hearing problems.

The conclusions were quite shocking. By 2050, the WHO wrote, one in four people worldwide will have some degree of hearing loss. That’s 2.5 billion people. 700 million of them can no longer hold their own in society without aids .
