Even though Premier League indoor football has not yet started, Hovocubo has already suffered a setback. Today the Hoorn club announced that Youssef Hadi has decided not to make a transfer. Hadi returns immediately to PhD student ZVV Ede.
After careful consultation between Hadi and Hovocubo, it was decided to refrain from further cooperation before the start of the competition. The long travel time and the lack of prospects for a lot of playing time made Hadi decide to stay at ZVV Ede.
“Towards the end of the preparation, the pecking order at Hovocubo slowly became clear and I had doubts as to whether I had made the right choice. The extensive traveling is also disappointing,” Hadi says on the Gelderland club’s website. “I put my doubts on the table and after a good conversation with Sander van Dijk, this was the outcome.”
In good harmony
Because Hadi has not yet played a binding official match for Hovocubo, it is possible to cancel a transfer. Hovocubo coach Sander van Dijk shows understanding for Hadi’s decision. “Sometimes things turn out differently than expected or hoped. Our paths part in good harmony. We wish Youssef a lot of success with Ede and in his further career and we will keep in touch.”
The new Premier League season will start for Hovocubo on Sunday, September 24. The vice champion then visits PhD candidate ZVV Kroeven.
