Botic van de Zandschulp is ready at Roland Garros. The tennis player from Amstelveen lost (surprisingly) to Thiago Tirante (3-1), who is 122 places higher in the world ranking. It became 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 and 6-4.
In the first set, Van de Zandschulp quickly trailed 3-0. He never got over that gap and it became 2-6. The roles were completely reversed in the following set. The Amstelvener came to 5-1 and ended in 6-4.

The last two sets were also disastrous for Van de Zandschulp. Tallon Greek track, the other North Holland iron in the fire, did make it to the next round. He beat Pedro Martinez 3-2 after five sets.
