A car caught fire in a traffic accident involving two vehicles on Sunday. There were no injuries, but flames spread to the undergrowth on the verge from which the fire spread. The highway was closed for a while, but was reopened in the late afternoon.
The fire brigade was called again at 10:20 a.m. on Monday because smoke was developing again. To prevent a re-flare, water is again poured with the helicopter. The fire brigade will also remain present to monitor the situation, so one lane towards Brussels will be closed for at least another two days.
