The E40 direction was flooded near Westrem and Bavegem. In the direction of Brussels, an accident happened due to the slippery water, which quickly resulted in a traffic jam from Merelbeke to just before Erpe-Mere. The Moerstraat in the center of Wetteren was also flooded. The street was temporarily closed by the police. The Boskant, Kleine Smetledesteenweg, Warandelaan, Serskampsteenweg and Scheldekaai districts also had to contend with flooding again.
