Dylan Groenewegen bites the dust at Cross Competition, 15-year-old beats pro cyclist

Dylan Groenewegen finished second today at the Amsterdam Cross Competition in ‘t Twiske. The professional cyclist from Amsterdam was defeated by 15-year-old Michiel Mouris. Third place went to the brother of the winner, Wessel Mouris.

Groenwegen: “I trained well and you always do your best. In the end it was a nice training day. At least we have a bunch of flowers again.”

Michiel Mouris made a hole early on and Groenwegen couldn’t keep up with the 15-year-old. In the last lap, the test cyclist still pushed on, but he did not get further than second place.

‘Especially to beat him’

The 15-year-old winner Mouris was very surprised with his stage victory. “Dylan drives very fast, I thought. I rode in the front for a long time, but Dylan came close. It is special to win from him.”

Tomorrow there will be an extensive report on our channels.
