Dyantha Brooks gets a big slap on the wrist because she laughed at the falsely singing Song Contest couple Mia & Dion in Shownieuws, to the point of crying. “That is not possible.”
Mia & Dion’s second crazy performance made Dyantha Brooks laugh out loud last weekend. During the live broadcast of Shownieuws, she had to laugh so hard at the bad performance that she had to finish the item crying. “I laughed a lot at the video,” she apologized.
Compassion
Angela de Jong generally sees a lot of compassion for the couple, she says in the AD Media podcast. “I actually think that when I hear and read all the criticism, everyone still has quite a kind of compassion for that Mia and Dion, because it is just very sad.”
She continues: “When I watch Shownieuws and Beau, I hear everyone come up with solutions that are quite easy to arrange. Marlayne Sahupala talked about some kind of melody that you let go along in your ear and Ronald Molendijk came up with a studio where you can practice along the highway. There is a lot of thinking along with them.”
Dyantha gets hit
In any case, Dyantha has not heard of compassion, Angela’s right hand Marcus den Blanken notes. He slaps her on the fingers. “Let’s also mention that Dyantha Brooks just starts laughing out loud when the video is shown.”
Angela: “Yes, but that’s the first reaction. That is also fine.”
Manuel Venderbos, presenter of the podcast and of Shownieuws: “I think we all laughed once.”
‘I really can’t!’
Marcus stays with it. “Yes, but that is… It is so hard when you have that in mind. We are in such a podcast and then you could choose to cut it out, but they are live and then I can imagine that you are overwhelmed by it, but then prepare for it. This is really not possible,” he says.
It’s senseless, he thinks. “I had to think about Joan Franka and that’s why I’m a little more lenient towards Mia and Dion, because I also think: yes, they have no experience. They have been pushed forward by Duncan, they will be there soon and already have the whole of the Netherlands over them. They’ve never done anything big, it’s the first thing they do!”
‘Belongs’
Angela thinks Mia & Dion can take a beating. “This is part of it. To quote Evert Santegoeds: ‘They are not twelve year olds either.’ They are grown people.”
“Of course you can have compassion for them, they are at the beginning of their career and they have the right to be properly guided.”
