Dutchman arrested in Germany who posted envelopes with drugs | Inland

A 50-year-old Dutchman has been arrested in Germany for trafficking in drugs. He was caught red-handed when he tried to put nearly sixty envelopes with drugs in a letterbox at the same time in Kranenburg, just across the border near Nijmegen.

Detectives in Essen had intercepted about a thousand mail packages with drugs in recent weeks. In total, it contained more than 50 kilos of amphetamine, as well as heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana.

The packages were placed on the bus at various places in Kranenburg. The shipments all looked the same.

The Dutchman would have been arrested on June 8, but his arrest was only announced on Saturday. Nothing has been released about his identity or whether he acted alone.
