The Dutch freighter MV Alaskaborg has lost 30,000 liters of fuel off the south coast of Canadian Newfoundland, Canadian news channel CBC reports. The Canadian Coast Guard said the ship’s fuel tank leaked during severe weather and an oil-water mixture spilled into the sea when water was pumped from the boat. Authorities say it is an “accidental pollution incident”.
