The Dutch capital Amsterdam will soon have a new residential area: the Marktkwartier. It will be one with special street names, such as Parseliestraat and Saliestraat. Initially there was also Nootmeskaatstraat, but an independent naming committee replaced it with Horseradish Street. Nutmeg is said to have an association with the Dutch colonial past.
