The first new signing of the winter has been confirmed: midfielder Donny van de Beek is coming to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with an option to buy. He could be important in January.
The player of your dreams is here: Donny van de Beek has signed a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt. The 26-year-old midfielder is coming to Frankfurt from Manchester United on loan until the end of the season, and Eintracht also has a purchase option. The Hessians confirmed this on Monday.
Krösche: “Van de Beek is an important piece of the puzzle”
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, the Hessians would have to transfer between 11 and 15 million euros to Manchester in order to keep van de Beek beyond the season. Eintracht did not provide any information on this.
“Donny van de Beek fits our game idea perfectly and is an important piece of the puzzle for our team,” said Eintracht sports director Markus Krösche. “He brings a lot of international experience from which our young players will benefit. Donny exudes a goal threat and, above all, should put our attackers in promising positions.”
Dutchman is needed in midfield
Van de Beek will be urgently needed at Eintracht from mid-January, as two important midfielders will be playing for their national teams in the Africa Cup: Ellyes Skhiri for Tunisia and Farès Chaïbi for Algeria.
Dutchman shone at Ajax Amsterdam for many years as a ball distributor in the center. Van de Beek no longer played a role at Manchester United and was no longer used in the games at the end of December. At Eintracht he should find his way back to his old strength.
