The Dutch King Willem-Alexander has apologized in Amsterdam’s Oosterpark for the role of the Netherlands in the slavery past. The king gave a speech during the National Commemoration of Slavery History. “As your king and part of our government, I make these excuses myself today. They are intensely experienced by me with heart and soul,” it sounded.
