The monthly inflation figures published by the Eurostat and Statistics Netherlands (CBS) are currently higher than actual inflation. This is because Statistics Netherlands always includes the prices of new energy contracts in its calculation. However, these do not apply to people who have fixed their energy price for a certain period of time.
