Dutch hockey women take world title against Argentina

The Dutch hockey women became world champions for the third time in a row on Sunday evening in Amstelveen. The Orange ladies defeated arch-rival Argentina 3-1 in the final battle.

The Netherlands made the difference within the first half hour. Maria Verschoor used a penalty corner and Den Bosch player Frédérique Matla doubled the score in the 23rd minute. Felice Albers made it 3-0 before the 30th minute.

Agustina Gorzelany made it 3-1 in the fourth quarter, but the victory for the Orange was no longer in danger.
