A 72-year-old man from the Netherlands was injured in the state of Salzburg. He and his 57-year-old wife went on a walking tour of Sankt Gilgen. After visiting a mountain restaurant, the couple went down a “intermediate trail,” which is very narrow in places and where people occasionally have to hold on to ropes, the regional police said. The man tripped and fell about 40 meters down. He ended up in the bed of a stream. A rescue helicopter took him to a hospital. Police said he was injured, but it’s unknown what his condition is.
