Dutch economy grew strongly despite gas crisis and war in Ukraine

The Dutch economy grew by 2.6 percent in the second quarter compared to the three previous months. That is a much larger increase than in the first quarter of 2022, while the war in Ukraine and the gas crisis still cause a lot of uncertainty. The Dutch spent more on cafe visits, trips or travel after almost all corona restrictions were lifted. In addition, companies invested more and the Netherlands exported more than it imported, reports the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
