Several celebrities were at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort on Saturday and had a great time. Singer Samantha Steenwijk, radio DJ Mattie Valk, journalist John van den Heuvel and journalist Alberto Stegeman were looking forward to Max Verstappen’s race, who won the qualification for the Dutch Grand Prix.

Valk woke up this morning in a hotel in Amsterdam, he told RTL Boulevard. “Then I thought: within an hour I will just be on the circuit where Formula 1 is going on.” He called it “insane” that it is in Zandvoort.

Van den Heuvel, who, like Valk, Steenwijk and Stegeman, spoke for Verstappen’s winning race, said at RTL Boulevard that a win by the Dutch driver would be “the icing on the cake”. “But look around you: the weather, you have a fantastic track, people are happy. I mean, that’s a sporting experience.”

World champion Verstappen took pole position at the Zandvoort circuit for the second year in a row. Stegeman already saw that win coming, he told the entertainment program before the race. “I expect a win from Max.” Steenwijk also had “all confidence in it”, the singer told the ANP. “Anything can happen, of course, but the wind is in the right direction.”
