Dutch au pair (22) died in the US swimming pool: ‘Sorrow unimaginable’ | Inland

The sitter was in a swimming pool in the coastal town of Nahant, near Boston, this week when disaster struck after a dip in the water. She probably went into cardiac arrest, reports De Limburger. A felony has been ruled out by the US police. American emergency services received a report of an unconscious person at the Cary Street Club private swimming pool. In the hospital, doctors couldn’t do anything for her anymore.

The young woman comes from the village of Neer in the municipality of Leudal and, according to the initiators, should have postponed her ‘dreamed trip’ to the US because of the corona crisis. In September 2021 she managed to go that way. She kept her more than a thousand followers informed about the trip on Instagram.

“If you were lucky enough to meet Elke Noblesse, your day would be a whole lot better. Elke was a kind, funny and cheerful spirit who brought light everywhere,” reads the fundraiser page of her American acquaintances. The donations must be used to finance, among other things, the return trip to the Netherlands and her funeral. “Elke always spoke so lovingly about her family in the Netherlands and how dear they were to her. As a community, we have been honored to have known Elke for the past 10 months and cannot imagine the grief of her family.”
