Ans (76) from The Hague was just out with her walker when a thief saw his chance. He tried to steal her bag, but hadn’t counted on resistance from the plucky lady. She fearlessly put herself in front of the car in which he tried to flee. However, the collision did not end well. The elderly was seriously injured and will have to celebrate her birthday in hospital next week. “It is still unclear whether she can keep her legs,” says her son-in-law. “Her recovery could take a very long time.”
