The lifeboat is ready to go.

Last Thursday, Minister Schreinemacher for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation announced that the Netherlands will help Ukraine with aid and rescue equipment. Additional contributions have been added since then. The water boards have now made a total of 40 boats, 75 water pumps, 20 life buoys, 370 life jackets and 120 waders available. This also includes contributions from the Royal Dutch Rescue Society. Reddingsbrigade Nederland supplies 22 lifeboats (vletten).

The Dutch equipment is collected in a Defense depot in Vriezenveen (Overijssel). Fifteen trucks left the depot today with the first part of the goods. The transport is partly reimbursed by the EU humanitarian aid organization (UCPM). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates emergency aid on behalf of the Netherlands.
