Ski racer Lena Dürr suffered her first setback at the start of the women’s World Cup winter and missed out on the greatest triumph of her career.
In the slalom in Levi, Finland, the 31-year-old did not get past fourth place despite a comfortable lead from the first round.
The American overall World Cup winner Mikaela Shiffrin secured victory with a lead of 0.16 seconds in front of Anna Swenn Larsson from Sweden and the Slovakian Olympic champion Petra Vlhova (+0.20 seconds).
Jessica Hilzinger recorded her best World Cup result in 16th, Andrea Filser finished in 24th place.
