As many as 125 mammals can glow in the dark. Scientists came to that conclusion in a new study. This trait had previously been discovered in a number of other mammals, including the platypus and the wombat, but the scientists did not expect it to occur so often. However, it remains unclear whether the ability to glow in the dark plays a specific biological role in mammals.
