Duo wanted for failed robbery and successful theft in Hoofddorp

The police are looking for two men who made a modest robbery through Hoofddorp yesterday. First they tried to rob someone they were meeting with of a phone. That failed, but later that evening they managed to steal a smartphone somewhere else. In both cases, men had made an appointment in advance with the victims via a sales site.

The two suspects had an appointment between 6:45 PM and 7:00 PM with someone who sells items online at the ‘t Paradijs shopping center. The two tried in vain to steal the seller’s mobile phone, but this was prevented.

Later that evening, the two men managed to steal a mobile phone from another online seller, the police spokesperson said. They met around 10 p.m. at a house on the Graan voor Visch on the side of the Hoofdweg Oostzijde.

The same suspects

Given the similarities in approach, the police suspect that these are the same suspects. The police are looking for witnesses and images, for example from a video doorbell.

One man is 20 to 25 years old, 1.85 to 1.90 meters tall and has a light to dark complexion. He was wearing a dark parka coat with a fur collar and a scarf around his face. The second man was slightly smaller, wore a track jacket and was dressed darkly.
