“Dune: Part 2”: Throwing attack on Florence Pugh during film promo

Pugh was hit in the head by an unknown object while performing in Brazil.

Florence Pugh had an object thrown at her during an appearance at the Comic-Con Experience 2023 (CCXP) in Brazil. As part of the Dune: Part 2 promo Pugh attended the event in São Paulo along with her colleagues Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler and Zendaya Coleman to talk about the new film. As the actors posed for a photo, an object flew into the actress’s face and she jumped in shock.

A video on X shows the incident and the cast’s shock:

What exactly was thrown at Pugh is unclear. But her pained face suggests that it wasn’t a cuddly toy or something similar.

Dangerous trend?

The fact that fans throw things at stages and stars is a problem that not only Florence Pugh has had to experience first hand. On June 18, 2023, Bebe Rexha suffered a laceration after a fan threw his cell phone at her head and Lil Nas X had to interrupt his live show in Sweden on July 1 after someone threw a sex toy onto the stage.

Another throwing attack case: US pop star Pink was performing at the BST Hyde Park Festival on June 25th and was performing the 2001 hit “Just Like A Pill” when a fan threw a small transparent bag onto the stage threw. A video shows the 43-year-old singer taking a quick look at the bag, then looking irritated at the audience and asking the person: “Wait, is that your mother?” After a short pause in which the person apparently confirms this , Pink says, “I don’t know how I feel about that.”
