For a long time, Telstar seemed to be heading for another victory thanks to a goal from Danny Bakker. The midfielder broke the ban after eight minutes White Lions, but to his own regret he had to leave the side not much later with an injury and unfortunately saw NAC Breda come alongside. “It’s a shame that the 1-1 still falls.”

In the 32nd minute the match was over for Bakker after it hit his calf. “It didn’t subside. I still tried to keep going. I’m curious to see what it will look like tomorrow,” the goalscorer said afterwards.

Telstar coach Ulrich Landvreugd could ultimately live with a draw. “I’m not disappointed, but I had the feeling that there could have been more. We wanted to go for the win. We still saw possibilities. They also seemed to be in two minds with that 1-1,” said Landvreugd.
