It was not easy tonight for the basketball players of Apollo Amsterdam. Due to a technical malfunction of the shot clock, the match against ZZ Leiden was cancelled. The team from Amsterdam therefore lost 20-0 by regulation.
In a message on social media, the board of Apollo apologizes to the supporters and spectators. “We are actively working to solve these kinds of problems in the future. The people who bought a ticket will get their money back. Another option is a ticket for two people at the next home game, December 15 against Aris Leeuwarden.”
The season is not going well for the team from Amsterdam. All games have been lost so far and the team is firmly at the bottom of the BNXT League. Den Helder Suns, the other North Holland basketball team at the highest level, will play against Feyenoord tomorrow.
