Nearly all royals love monochromatic looks. Queen Máxima recently donned a gorgeous dusty pink outfit that is perfect for a spring or summer wedding, and the Spanish queen showed off her abs in a daring bright pink dress with cutouts around her waist.
The trend color of this spring
This week, during her trip to Scotland, Duchess Kate opted for a chic look in the trend color of this spring: blue. She wore a light blue blouse with a small stand-up collar and elegant pleated trousers in dark blue. She combined this with a matching Catherine Walker coat and blue suede pumps. The icing on the cake of the look was her blue handbag from the trendy French bag label Polène, which gave the look a glamorous finish thanks to the golden details on the handle and closure.
Easy color
Earlier this week, the Duchess of Cambridge also went for the color blue. At the opening of the Glade of Light Memorial in Manchester Cathedral, she wore the same blue handbag and pumps, but opted for a blue and white Michael Kors coat dress. This dress may look familiar to you, because she has worn it several times in the past. In short: blue is always possible and that is why it is Kate’s favorite color.
Kate’s last name just isn’t Middleton anymore. And actually her name is no longer Kate. In the video below, royalty reporter Rick Evers explains her name:
