‘Independent’ chairman assisted D66 leader Kaag
THE HAGUE – The former boss of the public broadcaster Shula Rijxman has been alderman for D66 in Amsterdam since this week. When she was still running the NPO, she found it ‘annoying’ that she was regularly looked at on her party membership. She now indicates that she advised D66 leader Sigrid Kaag, also during campaign time. Rijxman had been working on a switch to D66 for years, according to a reconstruction by De Telegraaf.
