Overall, the home World Cup in Klingenthal was disappointing for the German team. Philipp Raimund still had the crowd cheering.

Philipp Raimund jumped onto the podium again at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Klingenthal. The 25-year-old made the German audience cheer with jumps of 134.5 and 131 meters in extremely foggy conditions. That was enough for third place overall. Only the Slovenian high-flyer Domen Prevc, who flew away from everyone with distances of 142.5 and 143 meters, and the Austrian Stefan Kraft (132.5 and 133.5 meters) could not be beaten.

However, the competition was disappointing for the rest of the German team. Andreas Wellinger, Pius Paschke and Luca Roth failed in the first round. Felix Hoffmann made it into the second round, but only managed 29th place.
