DSB Bank pays last creditors: call for ex-customers to report

DSB Bank will repay the last creditors. After the bankruptcy was completed, 650 million euros remained. This concerns a total of 280,000 account holders, some of whom are still being sought because the correct address details are missing.

At the end of December last year, the bank from Wognum . was declared bankrupt completed after twelve years† Through a takeover of the last loans by NIBC Bank for 1.6 billion euros, money remained.

It is used to pay people back their lost interest. Many account holders had to wait for their money after they declared bankruptcy on October 19, 2009.

Most creditors have already been repaid in recent years. It still concerns a large group of people (280,000) who had a savings, checking or deposit account when founder Dirk Scheringa’s bank went bankrupt. “With 100,000 people it might be a tenner, with others it is more,” curator Ben Knüppe previously explained to NH Nieuws.

And not all of them are easy to find. People whose address details are known will be informed by letter. Others are called upon to report. Ex-customers can check whether they qualify for the benefit via the website www.rente.dsb.nl.
